Syed Hussain

Syed is a Programme Manager and Data Solutions Architect with over 20 years’ experience. He is a Business Transformation specialist and Change Agent who has successfully delivered business value aligned to Clients’ key strategic goals in Regulatory Reporting reform and Enterprise Data opportunities within the Financial Services industry.

In his role as a Business Transformation Consultant, he worked with HO & Director level management in Group Finance & Capital management, successfully delivering key Compliance and Business Change projects including: IFRS 9, CoRep, FinRep, FDS, MMR-PSD and Liquidity projects. Syed has worked with leading banking institutions in UK and Ireland in the Regulatory Reporting & Compliance space, supporting Basel II & III Regulatory Accords and PRA driven initiatives.

Syed has significant expertise in Data Solution Architecture and Systems Implementations [Moody’s, Murex, AXIOM, Hyperion & Collibra] including Enterprise Data/Big Data Business Transformations.
He was instrumental in the successful delivery of group-wide Metadata Management capabilities for a Tier 1 Bank, supporting BCBS 239 and GDPR compliance initiatives. By deploying a Proof of Concept, Syed also introduced the Bank to Machine Learning concepts, to explore opportunities that drive value from the Banks’ Enterprise Data.

Syed is adept at leading programmes & projects and is comfortable with engagement and reporting at all levels within a clients’ organisation. He is a strong communicator and orator, armed with extensive industry experience and a deep understanding of team building & people management that has earned him the trust & respect of his clients and colleagues alike.

Previously, Syed worked for Nationwide Building Society, Lloyds Banking Group, KPMG, UBS-Global Asset Management, PTSB, HSBC, British Telecom and Transport for London.

Sue Shepard

Sue is a self-motivated Programme Management Consultant with 20 years’ corporate experience. In her professional career, Sue has worked with major financial services organisations designing and implementing complex projects to develop businesses, systems and brands.

In her most recent role as UK PMO Lead for HSBC Private Bank, Sue successfully supported the Global Head of Transformation and the Senior Project Manager to deliver UK Avaloq implementation. Achievements included acting as the CIO in the successful management of the programme, and developing complex level planning approach with associated governance.

Sue has successfully worked with Business Owners and Senior Executives to design their organisation, manage financial programs and projects, and develop agile processes.

Sue has worked with major financial institutions such as HSBC Private Bank, Bank of New York Mellon, and Deutsche Bank.

Sue has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), has received a Certificate of Accreditation from the Consultancy Business School, and is also a qualified Practitioner in Managing Successful Programmes (MSP).

Sue’s business skills are greatly complemented with her functional skills such as recruitment, hiring, coaching, management and leadership, to support any organisation’s requirements in a holistic way.

Ben Nicholson

Ben brings 25 years of strategic business transformation and process improvement experience to the table and has managed teams of up to 60 staff. Ben is Management Consultancy trained, with a proven track record of game-changing results in his roles as Head of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement at various institutions. Notably, Ben incorporates the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in his solutions for clients.

In addition to a mature set of programme management skills, Ben is adept at high complexity problem solving and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains in service, performance and risk reduction.

In his Process Excellence work for Lloyds Banking Group, Ben identified a Cash and Liquidity Transformation need yielding £ 20M/year benefits. He authored strategy, policy and principles of good practice. For Lloyds Banking and Schroders, Ben incorporated AI solutions into strategic plans and process maturity models. Ben has also delivered global process transformation to meet Federal Reserve mandatory accuracy targets.

Vivek Srivastava

Vivek is a Senior Consultant with X-CO. With 18 years of industry experience in Banking, Asset Management, Exchange (OTC & ETD) and vendor software, he brings a wealth of hands-on expertise to project and portfolio management.

Vivek’s pragmatic approach and strong interpersonal skills have helped to grow close relationships with senior management and SMEs at leading firms in the UK, Europe and North America. With extensive technical knowledge encompassing numerous IT systems and third-party tools, Vivek is a key resource for programmes that require a liaison between the business and technology-based Change teams.

Vivek has advised clients on a wide range of topics including: project definition and scoping, portfolio management, PMO set-up & control, change management, user training and support.

His past clients include Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Morgan Stanley, Calypso Technology, IPE and UBS.
